Folks gather in Stowe Village to watch the parade of antique vehicles

Everybody stakes out their spot on the sidewalk

Let's just watch the parade now without any comment from me.
See how many vehicles you can identify.

After the parade, Main Street was closed to traffic. Many antique cars were
parked at the curb, giving the town the appearance of an earlier era.
People were free to roam in the street or dance to fifties rock and roll.

For those of us who grew up in the '40s and '50s, it was a trip back to our youth

An elegant '59 DeSoto Adventurer convertible attracted many admirers

Its beautifully restored interior gave the street a touch of class

Almost 100 years of automotive history were represented on Main Street

For one evening a year, the town returns to a simpler past

A profitable evening was assured for anyone providing food

A summer evening in small-town America

Music brings the dancers out

They know how to cut a rug...er — I mean pavement

                                                   Where are the young people?

Oh, there they are
